🔁 SlideGist Subscription and Auto-Renewal Terms

These terms supplement the SlideGist Terms of Service and apply when you subscribe to a paid plan. Where the two conflict on a billing question, these terms govern. Subscribing means you accept them.

1. Plans and Prices

A yearly subscription is billed once for the year and costs the equivalent of nine monthly payments. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. The price, currency, and billing period shown on the purchase screen at the moment you subscribe are the ones that apply — your app store may price differently in your region.

There is no free trial. The free plan is available indefinitely, subject to the grant window described in §4.

2. Automatic Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically. Unless you cancel, your account is charged for another period — one month or one year, matching what you bought — within 24 hours before the current period ends, using the payment method held by the store you purchased through.

Renewal continues until you cancel. There is no fixed number of renewals.

If a renewal charge fails — an expired card, insufficient funds — the store will retry according to its own policy. While the subscription is unpaid your account reverts to the free plan; credits already in your balance remain until they expire.

3. How to Cancel

You can cancel at any time. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or the next renewal will already have been charged.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not shorten the period you have paid for: your plan stays active, with its features, until the end of that period, and then reverts to the free plan.

iOS / iPadOS

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top
  2. Tap Subscriptions
  3. Select SlideGist and tap Cancel Subscription

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile icon
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  3. Select SlideGist and tap Cancel subscription

Web (Stripe) Open Settings → Membership at https://slidegist.ai and cancel from there, or email hi@slidegist.ai.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — you must cancel through the store that bills it.

4. Credits

Your plan buys credits, and the rules that govern them are set out in §4 of the Terms of Service. The points that matter most for billing:

  • The monthly grant arrives every month while the subscription is active, including on a yearly plan — a year's subscription is credited month by month, not 3,500 × 12 up front.
  • Each monthly grant expires at the end of the following month. Credits are not a bank balance; they do not roll up indefinitely.
  • Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not refundable. When a subscription ends, unused credits remain valid until their own expiry date, but nothing is paid out for them.
  • If you upgrade, the new plan's grant applies from the new billing period. If you downgrade or cancel, credits already granted stay in your balance until they expire; no further grants are made at the old level.

5. Refunds

Subscriptions are digital goods delivered immediately, and refunds are handled by the store that billed you, under that store's policy — not by us directly:

European Economic Area and United Kingdom: you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because the Service is digital content supplied immediately, that right lapses once you begin using the subscription and have acknowledged as much at purchase — as required by law. Where the right still applies, exercise it through the store that billed you, or email hi@slidegist.ai.

Nothing in this section limits a refund right that applicable consumer law gives you regardless.

If a failure on our side prevented you from using what you paid for, email hi@slidegist.ai. We will restore the credits, extend the period, or help you obtain a store refund.

6. Price Changes

We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for — it takes effect from the next renewal.

We will give notice at least 30 days before a price increase applies to you, by in-app notice or email. Where the store requires your explicit consent to the new price, your subscription will not renew until you give it. If you do not accept an increase, cancel before the renewal date.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate a subscription if you breach the Terms of Service, if we are required to by law, or if we cease to operate the Service. If we terminate for a reason that is not your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the period you paid for.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. Material changes will be announced by in-app notice or email at least 30 days before they take effect, and will apply from your next renewal.
